CHEYENNE -- A large turnout welcomed inspirational speaker Stephen R. Covey here Thursday night at a benefit for the Cheyenne District of the Boy Scouts of America.

Around 350 people were in attendance at Little America for the banquet to help raise money for the Boy Scouts' functions throughout the year.

The banquet is one of three major fund-raisers for the local Scouts, and it raised between $55,000 and $60,000.

Joe Aschenbrenner, district executive for the Cheyenne and Snowy Range Boy Scouts of America, said he was pleased with the turnout. He added that he was happy that Covey was able to attend the benefit in support of the Scouts.
