CHEYENNE -- That ringing you hear isn't sleigh bells, it's cash
registers.
Retail industry watchers say this holiday shopping season should
top last year's, based on sales posted during Thanksgiving weekend.
"If Wyoming follows national trends, Christmas sales could be
significantly up from last year," said Lynn Birleffi, executive
director of the Wyoming Retail Merchants Association.
National estimates put seasonal sales up as much as 6 percent
over last year.
The offices of Chugwater Chili Corp. reflect the season's busy
pace. The company, with headquarters in Chugwater, produces a
powdered chili seasoning mix and sells an array of other products,
like dinnerware.
