PEANUT allergies in children may be caused by eczema cream,
scientists said today.
Nine out of ten children who suffer from the potentially fatal
allergy have previously had the skin condition, according to Dr
Gideon Lack, a consultant paediatrician at St Mary's Hospital,
London.
"Our study showed no link between this and mothers eating peanuts
during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Instead, we are examining the
possibility that exposure of the skin to products containing peanuts
