EDINBURGH City Council is set to sell its stake in the Capital's
biggest business park - and use the cash to fund a radical transport
plan for the west of the city.
The authority could get as much as GBP 100 million for its share
in Edinburgh Park.
Council leader Donald Anderson today revealed he had instructed
officials to investigate the practicalities of the proposed sale of
the park, where a controversial expansion plan was given the go-
ahead last month.
He said the first priority for the resulting windfall would be
tackling transport congestion on the west of the city, where the
influx of companies to the park has led to daily gridlock. And he
