A SCOTLAND side brimming with passion and commitment recorded a magnificent 22-3 win over the USA - ranked second in the world - this afternoon.

The Scots outfought their bigger, more physical opponents and withstood a second half onslaught to secure a result that augurs well for next year's World Cup.

Scotland made a rousing start but twice in the opening five minutes the hosts lost the ball in contact to the US pack.
