Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri, commenting on results of the
Israeli elections, said tonight that he did not see anything new in
what took place in Israel.
"We do not differentiate one Israeli prime minister from another,"
Berri told reporters at the end of a meeting with President Elias
Hrawi and Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
"The manner could be different, but the aggression and the
occupation remain the same," the Shiite house speaker added.
Berri accused the Clinton administration of making a mistake by
agreeing with Israel to hold the elections on the expense of delaying
the peace process.
