Article: Interview: Traditional Chinese Architecture Favored in HK

Traditional Chinese architecture has become a most-favored choice in designing and building public recreational places in Hong Kong, said Tse Shun-kai, senior architect with the Hong Kong Architectural Services Department (ASD) which is in charge of building the territory's public facilities.

A 9,000 sq. m. public leisure garden is to be built in the style of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Diamond Hill of Hong Kong.

This is one of a series of building projects in Hong Kong which adopt traditional Chinese styles in a bid to boost public awareness of Chinese culture.
