Article: Harare City Water Declared Safe To Drink

The water pumped into Harare and the environs from Morton Jaffray waterworks near Lake Chivero in Harare is safe to drink.

The conclusion is the results from two independent laboratories which show that there are no chemical poisons in the purified water or in the lake itself.

Harare's Director of Health Services, Lovemore Mbengeranwa said on Tuesday that tests carried out by the University of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Regional Drug Control Laboratory showed no evidence of chemical poisons in the water to city residents.
