Article: Cambodia's Economy Showing Healthy Growth

Cambodia's economy "has stabilized and is showing healthy growth", Keat Chhon, the country's Finance Minister, said at an international aid coordination conference here today.

At the conference, with the participation of over 100 representatives from major donor countries and international agencies, Chhon said the gross domestic product (GDP) of his country has been increasing at an average rate of seven percent, reaching 7.6 percent in 1995 from a mere 1.2 percent five years earlier.
