Article: China States Basic Stance On Global Information

China today urges the ISAD to make the objective ''global sharing'' more vivid and concrete with the integration of developed and developing countries in laying out plans for global informatization.

The remarks was made by Hu Qili, Minister of Electronics Industry and head of the Chinese delegation to the conference, at the ministerial meeting of the International Conference on Information Society and Development (ISAD) in Midrand, north of Johannesburg.

In his speech, Mr. Hu said China agreed in principle with the views expressed in the main theme document of the conference, which represented an important step towards global informatization.
