Article: EU Vice-President Backs UK Stand on Beef Crisis

The European Union (EU) Commission Vice-President Sir Leon Brittan has expressed support to Britain's non-cooperation policy with the EU, urging the other EU countries to ease the world-wide ban on British beef products exports.

Speaking in a BBC television interview this morning, Brittan said it is not realistic for the British government to abandon its non-cooperation operation while the ban on British beef exports remain in force.
