Article: Yangtze River's Water Level Dangerously Up

Continued heavy rains have pushed water level of the Yangtze River in the middle and lower reaches up to 2.5 meters above the danger mark, officials with the State Flood-Relief And Drought-Control Headquarters said today.

Zishui, Yuanshui, both tributaries of the mighty Yangtze River, have experienced their biggest flood water peaks in 30 years, with Zishui setting a flood peak record of 46.9 meters at 02:00 hours today.
