Article: China Third In World In Mineral Resources

China has invested more than 100 billion yuan in locating 160 types of minerals over the past four decades with more than 90 percent of deposits having been verified, putting it behind only the US and Russia in resources.

According to the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, China has exploited 132 kinds of mineral resources, and the verified deposits of 20 mineral resources rank first in the world.

China has found 200,000 deposits, three-forths of which have proven reserves, making China one of the few countries in the world to have a wide variety of mineral resources.
