Israeli Justice Minister Yaacov Neeman today has tended his
resignation from the government, over the Attorney General's decision
to open an investigation against him, Israel Radio reported.
The inquiry will look into allegations that Neeman interfered in
the investigation into former Interior Minister Aryeh Deri, who has
been accused of corruption.
On July 18, the same day when Neeman sworn in as justice minister,
a petition was filed by Globes journalist Yoav Yitzhak, alleging that
Neeman committed a variety of criminal acts, and is therefore not fit
