Article: Co-operation Vital for Chinese Film Market

The Chinese film market will have a good future if inland areas, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increase their cooperation, a recent seminar at the China Changchun Film Festival was told.

The seminar was attended by nearly 30 noted figures in the film industry.

The inland areas, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan together rank second in the world, after the United States, in total number of films made.

"The prospect of Chinese films is very rosy if the four places strengthen co-operation in the film industry," Joseph Kuo Hong Ling, chairman of the Movie Producers and Distributors Association H.K. Ltd., told the group.
