Article: Lebanese Speaker Stresses Resistance Against

Nabih Berri, who was re-elected the house speaker in the opening session of Lebanon's newly-elected 17th Chamber of Deputies today, stressed a continuity of resistance against the Israeli occupation in south Lebanon.

Berri stressed that it was Lebanon's choice to continue the resistance, to deepen the national unity, to strengthen the people's confidence in the state and to consolidate the Syrian-Lebanese relations of "common fate."
