Article: China Completes Construction of Major Power Station

After years of strenuous effort, China has completed the construction of a major power station located on the Yuanjiang River in southern Hunan Province.

A ceremony was held today to mark the connection of Unit 5 of the Wuqiangxi Power Station with the local power grid.

Investment in the station, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, has surpassed seven billion yuan (about 843 million US dollars).
