Article: Crackdown on Poor Health Food Planned Next Year

A national crackdown on fake and substandard health foods will begin early next year, reported today's China Daily.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, the action, which runs from January to March, will start with an inspection of manufacturers of health foods.

Publicity activities will also be organized to teach consumers about nutrition and recommend high-quality products, said Su Zhi, director of the Food Hygiene Inspection Division under the Ministry of Public Health.
