Article: Rare Relics Found In 800-year-old Chinese Pagoda

More than 10,000 rare relics have been found in an underground palace and a hidden chamber of a pagoda in Shanghai's Jiading District.

The relics include Buddhist scripts, jade, coins, and gold and silver sculptures from the Song (960-1279), Yuan (1271-1368), and Ming (1368-1644) dynasties. The items were discovered during work on the endangered pagoda.
