The study of peasant wars in China urgently needs to be deepened and expanded, Chinese scholars said at the Ninth Seminar of the China Society for Study of Peasant Warfare.

The seminar, which closed recently in Tongshan of central China's Hubei Province, attracted some 30 researchers in the field from around the country.
