As Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk and Queen Monineath Sihanouk granted gifts this afternoon at the closing ceremony of the three- day boat races, Cambodia's traditional Water Festival, Bon Om Tuk in Khmers, reached its climax.

More than 300 teams of oarsmen and oarswomen have competed in the races on the Tonle Sap river to celebrate the grand Water Festival.

Boat racing and a procession of illuminated floats, very popular to Cambodians, were the major features of the Water Festival, which falls in the 12th month of lunar calendar ...
