After nearly two weeks of formal hearing, Pakistan's Supreme
Court
today made its verdict on the sacking of Benazir Bhutto's government
early last November, saying the move is constitutional.
The seven-judge bench of the Supreme Court upheld the
Presidential
Proclamation by a 6-1 verdict, dismissing Benazir Bhutto's petition
challenging the dismissal of her government.
After a four-hour hearing today, the Court announced a 12-page
short order, rejecting the petitions filed by Bhutto and National
Assembly Speaker Yosuf Raza Gillani.
The Court ruled that the Presidential Order last November
contained enough substance and that an ample material had been
