HAVANA The Nueva Banca, a Cuban financial group, and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of Great Britain, agreed to set up a mixed financial venture "Caribbean Finance Investment Ltd." on the Cuban island to provide medium-term financing, according to the Banco Nacional de Cuba.

The mixed financial venture will operate with five million U.S. dollars of which 60 percent will be provided by the CDC and the remaining 40 percent by the Cuban group.
