African Countries Called to Give Prime Attention

African countries were today called to give prime attention to
tourism.
The call was made by Vida Yeboah, Chairperson of the World
Tourism
Organization (WTO) Commission for Africa at a press conference held
here.
Yeboah said tourism has been one of the major sources of income
for any countries in the world even in the United States.
However, she said the development of the tourism industry in
Africa is sluggish.
She called on African countries to make efforts to train skilled
manpower for the development of the tourism industry.
She also stressed that African countries should give priority to
encouraging private enterpreneurs to invest in the tourim sector of
economy.
