The Sino-Pakistani joint expedition set up the first camp at the
8,125-meter-high Mount Nanga Parbat, According to the Tibetan
Mountaineering Association here today.
The joint expedition left Pakistan's capital Islamabad on May 7
and reached their base camp at the 4,100 meters on May 11. However,
their climbing activities were stopped for four days due to a heavy
snow which measured over one meter deep.
