Eight People Died of Snake Bites in Southern

Eight people died in Hager Mariam district, southern Ethiopia, after being bitten by poisonous snakes which were supposedly taking refuge nearby residential houses to escape the unusually scorching sun.

The Ethiopian News Agency reported today that 18 people, including the eight dead, have been bitten since mid-July.
