Article: IMF Aid Package to Indonesia to Be Sealed by Weekend

The Indonesian government will soon announce the outcome of negotiations between Indonesian officials and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team for a financial package to restore market confidence in the country's economy, a senior official said.

"We will announce it at the right time, hopefully soon," Minister of Finance Mar'ie Muhammad said here last night.

Some analysts predicted the government would announced details and conditions of the IMF-led financial assistance by the weekend or next Monday.
