Article: Shanghai Outlines Building Materials Development Plan

Shanghai, China's leading manufacturing center, has mapped out a plan for vigorously developing the building materials industry in the next three years.

According to the plan, the city will advance development of seven major building materials which will include new-type wall materials, chemical building materials, concrete, processed glass, and glass wool.

Local experts explained that in its efforts to expand building materials industry, Shanghai would mainly improve economic performance of enterprises, develop more building materials featuring land-saving, energy- and water-efficient, recycled use of discarded materials by way of relying on science and technology.
