The besieging of a newspaper in this southwest China city last November by the Falun Gong cult was a plotted act aimed at disrupting social stability.

More than 300 Falun Gong practitioners besieged and attacked on the Chongqing Evening News from November 4 to 6 last year after the local paper reported on the cult and the harm it had done.
