Eleven public servants in Liuyang city, central China's Hunan
Province, have been dismissed from their posts after they were
appraised by public votes as "unqualified" for two consecutive
years.
"It is the masses who have the final say in enrolling and
dismissing public servants," said Xu Xiangping, a leading official
with the municipal government.
The city introduced the public appraisal system for public
servants two years ago.
