Article: State Duma Insists Russia's Aid Plane Should Reach Baghdad

Russia's State Duma Speaker Gennady Seleznyov said here Monday that the lower house insists that the Russian aid plane, bound for Iraq with several tons of medicine, lawmakers and journalists, must reach Baghdad, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Seleznyov made the comment after talking with the party whips.

He said the United Nations Sanctions Committee asked Russia to provide a list of passengers on board. He said the State Duma would give the U.N. committee a detailed material list, including the names of all 207 passengers and their reasons for making the trip.
