Article: Iran's Fuel Consumption Increases by 200 Percent

Iran has witnessed an increase of nearly 200 percent in fuel consumption in the past 20 years and it will have to stop exporting oil in 15 years with the trend, Tehran radio reported Monday.

The daily fuel consumption in Iran has risen to the current 1.5 million barrels of crude oil from 509,000 barrels 20 years ago, the state-run radio quoted an oil official, who declined to be named, as saying.
