Macao casino magnate Stanley Ho said that Macao casinos achieved a "quite satisfying business" in 1997, and that he is confident of the future of Macao casinos.

A report in Thursday's Macao Daily News quoted Stanley Ho, general manager of the Macao Tourism and Amusement Company (STDM) which runs franchise casino business in Macao, as saying on Wednesday that casino business was better in 1997 than in 1996.
