Article: 18 UN Relief Workers Arrive in Amman From Iraq

Eighteen of 31 United Nations relief workers based in Baghdad were evacuated to Amman Thursday evening in fear of a possible U.S. attack on Iraq.

The relief workers will not return to Baghdad until U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan succeeds in mediating a peaceful settlement for the crisis over arms inspections in Iraq, U.N. Development Program official Chu Liu told reporters here.
