Vice-Premier Li Lanqing said here today that a course on Deng
Xiaoping Theory for college students is especially important,
because
they are successors in the cause of building socialism with Chinese
characteristics.
Li made the remarks while speeking at a forum on teaching Deng
Xiaoping Theory.
Li said that the study of Deng Xiaoping Theory is the most
important requirement in the implementation of the spirit of the
15th
National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and that colleges
should make greater efforts in compiling textbooks to arm students
with the theory.
