British Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Monday that the
hooliganism of British soccer fans in France was a "total disgrace"
to the country.
At least 36 were injured when hundreds of soccer fans fought
pitched battles with Tunisian youths and police on Sunday night. The
violence erupted again on Monday during England's match against
Tunisia, and more than 60 people have been arrested most of them
English since Sunday night.
Fans watching the game on a giant screen on the Marseille
beachfront hurled bottles at one another and at least 15 Tunisians
had been injured by the time the game ended with a 2-0 victory for
England.
