Article: World Cup English Fans Go on Rampage in Marseille

About 200 English fans rioted Marseille on Sunday night, smashing shops and damaging cars on the eve of a World Cup game here.

Police equipped with the helmets and shields fired tear gas to contain the violence, which led the arrest of around 30 English supporters.

At least two injured English fans were described as in serious condition in local hospital while about twenty other fans suffered minor injuries.
