Iran and Yemen have called for efforts to avoid nuclear arms race
in the world following the nuclear tests of India and Pakistan.
Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi Friday called on all
countries in the Middle East to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation
Treaty (NPT) to avoid possible nuclear arms race.
Expressing concern over the Pakistani and Indian nuclear
explosions, Kharrazi said that the blame lied entirely on those
countries which refused to attend talks on nuclear disarmament, the
Iranian official news agency IRNA reported Saturday.
His remarks came as Pakistan carried out its first round of
nuclear tests Thursday in response to India's nuclear explosions
earlier this month. ...
