Chinese Taipei outscored China 10-6 here on Wednesday to take the
baseball bronze medal at the Asian Games.
China grabbed a two-run lead at the fourth inning amid a pitching
duel between its Zhang Wanjun and Chuan Chin-Her of Chinese Taipei.
Later on, a pile of defensive errors from China put the Chinese
Taipei far ahead, hard for China to catch up anymore.
Chinese Taipei had its run on four hits in the sixth as
22-year-old left-hander Zhang got tired and Wang Zhanpeng promptly
surrendered a run-scoring single and another run on a wild pitch.
