THE City may be in meltdown, but there's no doubting that
London's other boom sector -- the arts -- is in rude health.
This time of year always brings a rash of activity and this
season there's even more than usual. The Donmar's public-spirited
stint at Wyndham's, spearheaded by Kenneth Branagh's five-star
Ivanov, is proving straight plays can draw crowds to the West End.
Twelfth Night with Derek Jacobi is to come at the same theatre. And
hot on its heels at the Novello is David Tennant's Hamlet for the
RSC, with tickets changing hands for Damien Hirst-style figures.
London gets a brand new concert hall when Kings Place opens in St
