U.S. Republican John McCain and Democratic Bill Bradley lead
slightly among the likely voters with the help of women and
independents in New Hampshire as the campaign's first presidential
primary nears, a new poll shows.
According to the Dartmouth College-Associated Press poll Sunday,
McCain had 42 percent support to 33 percent for national front-
runner George W. Bush in the Republican race while Bradley was at 49
percent to 43 percent for Democratic national front-runner Al Gore.
In a previous poll conducted October 31-November 3, Bush led
McCain, 44 percent to 31 percent, and Gore had an edge over
Bradley,48 percent to 41 percent
