Article: Tung Praises Basic Law's Role in Maintaining HK's Stability

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Tung Chee Hwa on Saturday spoke highly of the role of the Basic Law in maintaining Hong Kong's stability and prosperity.

The Basic Law is the constitutional framework which institutionalizes the unprecedented concept of "one country, two systems" and the high degree of autonomy, Tung said at a symposium in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the promulgation of the Basic Law of the HKSAR.
