Article: China Toughens Barriers Against Computer Viruses

The Chinese Ministry of Public Security has issued a regulation aimed at curbing computer viruses, China Daily reported today.

The ministry has also issued guidelines on evaluating products meant to protect computers from viruses, according to the English language newspaper.

The regulation and guidelines, which took effect late last month and early this month respectively, were publicized by the ministry this week.
