One of the happier ironies of Yoko Ono's installation Odyssey of a Cockroach is that its Google listing appears under an ad for insect spray. Ever since the Japanese-born Fluxus artist made a film called Fly back in 1970 - the so-called Fluxfilm starred a housefly crawling over Ono's naked body - her work has identified itself with household pests. And, like those pests, Ono's art has remained consistently annoying. The question you ask as you walk around Odyssey of a Cockroach is whether the annoyance you feel is one the artist intended, or whether it's simply to do with her work being trite.
