Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi has urged Israel to
withdraw from the Shebaa farms in south Lebanon and to release
Lebanese prisoners, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported on
Thursday.
In a telephone talk with the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan on
Wednesday evening, Kharrazi stressed that any provocative move by
the Israeli regime may create a critical situation in the region.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in south
Lebanon following the Israeli withdrawal last week.
Annan expressed hope that the Lebanese Hezbollah will play a key
role in the future of the country, saying that the U.N. is trying to
collect humanitarian aids by different countries to help ...
