Article: Lebanese Troops, Police Enter South Lebanon

Lebanese troops and police were deployed in South Lebanon to join U.N. peacekeepers early Wednesday morning, Orient Radio reported.

A convoy of trucks and armed vehicles carrying soldiers were seen headed down to south from central Beirut.

According to Lebanese Interior Minister Michel Murr, the force comprises 500 soldiers and 500 policemen.
