Under initial agreements with its two coalition partners, the Thai Rak Thai Party, the biggest winner of Thailand's national election, will control the majority of the posts in the new cabinet, local TV channel reported Thursday.

Thaksin Shinawatra, the Thai Rak Thai leader and Thailand's premier-to-be, said on Nation Channel that his party has asserted full authority in forming the new coalition government and will assume 28 of the 36 cabinet posts, including the prime minister, finance, commerce, interior, foreign affairs and agriculture portfolios.
