Thailand's New Aspiration Party was made known Thursday to be the first coalition partner of the Thai Rak Thai Party ("Thai Loves Thai"), which won a sweeping victory in January 6 national election.

Wan Muhammad Nor Matha, deputy leader of the New Aspiration Party announced at a press conference this morning that his party has accepted the invitation from Thai Rak Thai, which will dominate the next parliament with over half of the total seats, while the New Aspiration said to hold 34.

Wan said that top executives of his party will convene a meeting Thursday to discuss the details of joining the next coalition government.
