Vietnam has set a target of 40 gold medals at the 21st Southeast
Asian Games (SEA Games) in Malaysia in September, Vietnam's official
news agency VNA reported Saturday.
To reach the target, Vietnam will send its largest team so far to
compete in 26 or 27 of the 32 events at the games.
The country has made a draft list of 441 athletes, including 216
women, to compete in such sports as track-and-field, water sports,
basketball, martial arts, shooting, weight-lifting, billiards and
snooker, cycling, gymnastics and badminton.
