Article: B Share Market on Tuesday

China's hard-currency B shares went much higher on Tuesday, with Shanghai's trekking to record again.

Shanghai's B-share Index, tracking U.S. dollar-denominated B shares, soared 4.24 points, or 2.39 percent, to 181.71, another historic high, according to Homeway, a leading Chinese on-line financial and securities advisory company.

The benchmark index is riding on its ninth straight push into the plus column Tuesday. While meeting resistance around 180 points, the index was pushed higher in the end by increasing buyers, who dipped in the market at the first sight of correction. Toward the closing bell, it succeeded in lofting at the intraday peak.
